Truman Middle School Hosts Third Annual Flyer Family Fund Breakfast
On January 3, 2025, Foundation board members, along with Dr. Lake and his cabinet, served a delicious country-style breakfast at Truman Middle School, marking the third consecutive year of this cherished tradition. Truman leads the way with an impressive 70% of their staff contributing to the Flyer Family Fund through payroll deductions! Across the district, a total of 300 staff members participate in this program, contributing every pay period.

Celebrating Long Elementary Kindergarten Teachers: New Tricycles for Skill-Building Fun
Today, we’re thrilled to recognize Stephanie Meesey, Dawn McCoy, Shannon Roberts, and Maria Mascalco, a dedicated team of Kindergarten teachers at Long Elementary, who recently brought a fantastic new resource to their students. Understanding the close connection between physical development and academic success, these teachers requested 12 tricycles to help their young learners develop essential gross motor skills. By riding these tricycles, students are not only building sensory and visual motor skills but are also strengthening their hand-eye coordination in a fun, engaging way.

Celebrating Mary Driemeyer: Elevating PE at Sappington Elementary
Today, we celebrate Mary Driemeyer, a dedicated PE and Health Teacher at Sappington Elementary, whose vision for a more dynamic and engaging PE program inspired her request for new tools to enhance her students' experience. Mary’s new equipment includes two Velcro ball dart boards, sticky balls, training nets, and a 20-foot Sky Puppet Dancer—all chosen to create exciting, skill-building stations for students in grades K-2. These stations focus on developing essential skills like underhand and overhand throwing, with additional challenges for 5th graders, who are eager to take on more advanced activities.

On August 13, 2024, Lindbergh Schools launched the new school year with our annual Rah Rah Day! This beloved tradition brought together our entire staff for a day filled with spirit, gratitude, and celebration of the incredible dedication our teachers and staff bring to Lindbergh Schools each day. Hosted by the Foundation, the event also featured a raffle where lucky winners walked away with fantastic prizes.

Lindbergh Schools Foundation Board Retreat: A Day of Connection and Celebration
On August 9, 2024, the Foundation board members gathered for a retreat filled with activities and discussions. The day started with breakfast and a scavenger hunt, followed by planning for the upcoming year. During a BBQ lunch, they played Board Member Bingo and heard district updates from Superintendent Dr. Tony Lake. Past scholarship recipients shared their achievements. There are many exciting projects in store and they look forward to sharing them with the community.
